The provincial government announced the implementation of a new "Foreign Entity Tax" to take effect on August 2, 2016.

Although only recently being called to the Bar in British Columbia in April 2016, Lesley originally graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) (1992) and a Bachelor of Laws (1995). She was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1996. However, the following year she decided to take a hiatus from law and went overseas to travel. A one year trip turned into a nine year journey during which she lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, spending most of that time working as an ESL teacher and school administrator. Upon relocating to Vancouver in 2006, she changed careers and became a Corporate Secretary for a geothermal mining company. In 2012, Lesley’s career underwent another change and she became a Notary Public in Burnaby, focusing her practice on the areas of wills, personal planning and real estate. When the opportunity to practice law presented itself, Lesley decided returning to the legal profession as a lawyer was an exciting opportunity that she could not pass up. Lesley joins Greiner Law Corporation to practice in the areas of real estate, wills, estate and personal planning.
