About the Firm

We are located in Burnaby, on the north side of Canada Way, near Burnaby City Hall (and behind the Burnaby Winter Club). The firm has a history dating back to its founding in 1974. For many years, Greiner Law Corporation practiced in partnership as part of Greiner, Bethell and Company. The firm later practiced under the name GBC Law as part of an association of independent law firms. Commencing January 1, 2016, Greiner Law Corporation is practicing on its own under the name "GBC Law".

Gregory J. Greiner Lawyer and Founder

After graduating from Burnaby South High School, Greg attended the University of British Columbia where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws degree. Greg initially opened his own general law practice as a sole practitioner but for many years practiced law in a partnership known as Greiner, Bethell & Company and later as GBC Law. Greg has a broad range of experience which he uses to help advise clients. Over time, he has refined his practice to wills and estates law, real estate law and corporate/commercial law. Raising his family in Burnaby, Greg has been active in the community and in his profession. Greg enjoys developing and maintaining positive relationships with his clients.

Stefano Beninteso Lawyer

Stefano graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in 2014. After obtaining his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in June of 2017, Stefano returned home to Burnaby and began his articles with GBC Law in the fall of that same year. Following his call to the BC Bar, Stefano joined GBC Law as a junior associate and currently focuses his practice on corporate/commercial law, wills and personal planning.

Cynthia Lam Lawyer

Cynthia graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.Sc. Hons. (2011) and obtained her J.D. from the University of Windsor (2014). After interning at Carswell Thomson Reuters, Cynthia completed her articles and worked as a Corporate Associate at a small law firm in downtown Toronto. Her practice in Toronto consisted of general corporate/commercial law, corporate governance, and securities law. Currently, Cynthia's practice focuses on real estate law and corporate/commercial law.

Lesley Russell Lawyer

Lesley graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) (1992) and a Bachelor of Laws (1995). She was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1996. Shortly after, she decided to take a hiatus from law and went overseas. A one year trip turned into a nine year journey through Australia, New Zealand and Japan, working mainly as an ESL teacher and school administrator. Upon returning to Canada, her career path shifted and she worked as a Corporate Secretary for several years. In 2012, Lesley's career underwent another change and she began practicing as a Notary Public in Burnaby. In April 2016, she was called to the bar in British Columbia as a barrister and solicitor. She practices in the areas of wills, estates and personal planning, and real estate.

Kelly graduated from Capilano College with a Legal Assistant Certificate. After working as a Conveyancer/Real Estate Legal Assistant for 23 years, she changed her focus to Estates and office administration.

Joanna Shen Junior Legal Assistant (Real Estate)

Joanna obtained her Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from Douglas College (2014) and attended Paralegal courses at Vancouver Community College (2015). She started working as a legal assistant at GBC Law after finishing her practicum at a small notary office in Vancouver in 2014. Joanna feels comfortable conversing in Cantonese.

Nancy Wang Junior Legal Assistant (Corporate & Wills and Personal Planning)

Nancy obtained her Office Administrative Assistant Certificate from Langara College in 2013 and started working for a senior business lawyer thereafter. She decided to return to school in September 2017 to further her knowledge and obtain a Paralegal Diploma at Vancouver Career College. Nancy feels comfortable conversing in Mandarin.

Vandana Chandra Administrative Coordinator

Vandana obtained her Paralegal Certificate from CDI College in 2018. After working with Scotiabank for 12 years, she decided to pursue a different career path and joined GBC Law in 2019 as an Administrative Coordinator.
