Effie supports GBC Law’s business law clients, with a focus on accessibility and clear communication. Her approach helps clients understand clearly and realistically what to expect through the legal process. This is important to Effie because she wants clients to feel at ease and able to focus on their lives without added stress from legal matters.
Effie’s path to law began early. Growing up, she was the go-to person for her parents who ran a small business in Burnaby and didn’t speak English as a first language. Whenever questions came up, Effie stepped in to help find answers. That experience shaped her interest in law and her desire to continue to support through sharing knowledge. The best advice Effie has received? “The first time you do something might be very difficult, but with experience, each subsequent time will be easier.”
Outside the office, Effie enjoys trying new restaurants, watching horror movies, and playing board games or video games with friends. A fun fact: Effie lived in Japan for over a year and a half.
